THE BEST DAY!!!!!

Today started out as any other. The girls were up, they were yelling and screaming, we had thinks to do and we were running late to do them. The house was a mess, the car was a mess and our lives overall were a mess. Same goes for work, I arrived to start the daily routine.

The first bit of good news was when Jameka offered me to create SOTAC's newsletter permanently. Apparently the person who did it before will no longer be doing it so I volunteered to do it. I think it would be fun and it will be great to pad my resume with. It seems very straightforward and not too complicated but I am not going to take it lightly of course. I can't wait to start working on it. Hopefully, this will be useful in the future.

Another highlight of my day was spending my lunch hour with Felicia and the girls at the mall. We took them to the playground at Carolina Place Mall, sat eating a Cinnabon and a nice Mochalatta Chill and watching my two young daughters play... all in all, today really was a good day and on top of that I didn't even see a ghetto bird fly by!!!!!!

JUST RANTING AGAIN!

Last Saturday at about 1 pm, Jameka gave me another project for SOTAC. This time, the intern responsible for one of the sections in the newsletter failed to complete it. I volunteered to helped but she told me the article had to be done by that day! That was the same we were supposed to go to a party (we weren't going together but we were going to the same party). On top of that, I couldn't get started until later that afternoon because I had to take my mom to eat and do other random things with Felicia. I came back and started to RESEARCH the topic (Frida Kahlo) at about 6 pm and busted my ass until about 8 pm when I finished. Good thing I am the type of person who works best under pressure of a deadline other wise I would be screwed!!!

Anyway, if you guys want to read the article subscribe to the newsletter here.

The magazine is currently looking for sponsors for their next event in July. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, you can contact Jameka for details.

I was able to upload some of the pictures we took on the trip to the mountains.

Look at this, beauty at its best... and Fabi looks i-ight too.

Two of the three most precious things in my life.

As per usual, you will find the rest here.

That's it... time to go home (I did this from work).

WHAT A WEEKEND!

Well, the date with Felicia went FLAWLESS!!!!! We had a great time. We started off with Frankie's and except for our mumbling waiter, lol, we had a lovely, romantic time. Veal, Lasagna, Pinot Noir, Stuffed Mushrooms and a whole lot more... we hate until we could not longer gaze lovingly into each other's eyes... LOL... that's what she says... gaze lovingly into each other's eyes. Of course, we do that until the food gets there... then it's leer morbidly into the bubbling, melting mozzarella!

After that we ended at the Red Door which if you don't know what it is, it made our evening very, very, very enjoyable.

On Sunday, Gene was arrested for DUI AGAIN! We spent most of our time trying to bail him out. LOL.

I need a beer now.

I am too tired to type anything else right now.

ROMANTICAL DINNER (yes, I am aware it's not a word)

Well, today I made reservations for a romantic dinner for Felicia and myself at Frankie's Italian Grille. Just the two of us... no girls... no yelling, no screaming, no crying, no paying attention to anything but each other. THIS IS GOING TO ROCK!. Felicia loves Frankie's, it's her favorite restaurant but it's sorta steep so we can only go so often. They actually have good food and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like Italian food. We haven't had alone time like that in a long, long time... we need it more often. I miss my baby... all day, every day we're struggling with the girls that we rarely get to enjoy each other's company and when the girls finally go to sleep, we're way to tired to stay up ourselves to do anything... we just lay down and look straight at the TV. sad..........

Un Nouveau commencement

Well, well, well......

I decided to start writing on my blog again. No reason just thought I'd continue. Felicia asked me if I was ever going to since it really is an account of my life. She told me it would be nice to look back 5, 10 years from now and read this shit.... I think she's right. So I might as well keep doing it just for the hell of it.

I guess it will be pointless to say that a lot has happened since my last post taking into consideration that it was in February! We have pretty much recovered financially, Felicia is no longer at CIGNA and as of right now, we plan to try to make it work with one paycheck and her helping her dad with his business. Since Felicia separated from her company we have had more money left over (even after we splurge or trivial things) than ever before. So it is pretty safe to say things have been going good lately.

Felicia and I took a trip to the mountains late in February. It was supposed to be a romantic getaway from work, life, the girls, family and everything else. Unfortunately, we were unable to find suitable childcare for the Bean so she ended up in the damn trip with us! lol. Despite that minor (well, large) setback, the trip was good. Thanks to Michelle and Alex from the Donkey Punchers we received a nice little discount on our cabin at Swiss Mountain Village. The two-bedroom cabin was awesome and bigger than my damned apartment. The towns (Boone and Blowing Rock) near there are very small and since we had Fabi with us, we were unable to see or do the main attractions. Also, throughout most of our stay we were in the middle of a huge snowstorm which pretty much limited out accessibility to...well, anywhere.... All in all though it was a good trip, we could have done without the storm and Fabi, but it was well worth it. Word of advice my friends, if you are ever in the area...AT ALL COST avoid a place called Tijuana Fat's. Trust me! If that's Mexican food, then I'm KAMPUCHEAN.

The girls are growing big and strong. Larissa has been walking for the past two months and can say some words here and there like "Thank you", "Fabi" and "Elmo" lol. Fabianna is huge and can formulate her own sentences in both English and Spanish now. The girls have been giving so many headaches and gray hairs but we wouldn't change it for the worlds. They are the smartest, cutest babies in the world!!!!!! lol. The good thing about having them so close in age is that they play and keep each other entertained.

You can view some of their pics here.

Recently, I have been helping my friend Jameka with her modeling gigs. She had a photograph appraise some of Felicia's random snapshots and they guy said Felicia would make a great model. HELL YEAH BITCHES! My baby kicks ass and is finer than the MO'FO! Anyway, Jameka also co-own a local Charlotte magazine called SOTAC (State Of The Arts and Culture). Last month she offered me to write an article for the magazine's next issue. I thought it was a great opportunity and I took it. The magazine comes out July 1 and is available throughout Clt. If you leave in the area you should pick it up, it's only a measly $3!!!
